His career in investment banking was spent with Orion Royal Bank, SBC (in London, Frankfurt and Zurich) and Nomura (in London and Berlin). Since 1992 he has been advising private and public sector clients on investor relations and better regulation, including management of a Euro15bn 'AAA' borrowing program. In 2003 he was appointed a member of the UK National Audit Office's Expert Panel on the Quality of Regulation.
	Alan Martin Alan Martin has worked in investment banking for over 20 years, mainly in the fields of debt and equity capital markets as well as in strategic corporate advisory services. Between 1996 and 2002 he was an Executive Director of UBS Warburg, responsible for the UBS Group's overall relationships with its major multinational Swiss corporate clients. He has specialist experience in healthcare, fine chemicals and electrical engineering, and arranging bond issues for financial institutions including the World Bank and the European Investment Bank.
